I am not one to separate from my hard earned money. I also research before I buy. This product exceeded my expectations and was a bargain for what I received. It also doesn't hurt supporting a fellow Veteran. Additionally, the package arrived quickly and was so well packaged it took me a while to unwrap
Great product. company needs to do step by step videos for each model install. Once installed, great look and quality but install could have been much faster with videos.
Great product. Instructions for installing were definitely "lacking"
It took a while to figure out how to assemble and install the product.
Final results were impressive. I did not realize until the product was installed that the installation instrucitons were on the Web Site.
I had to request on multiple jeep pages just for pics of them in 2drs. After much mulling over and going back and forth to spend the $$$ without ever seeing one in person I purchased one. So the answer to my title......YES, I think so.
Now with that being said lets see why I gave it a four star rating.
1) Most all the videos you see are about 4dr installation, The written instructions you can muddle through though but it's very time consuming and not as clear as it should be as it leaves unanswered questions you just have to figure out. Simple fix - Make a step by step video for each one(that's professional)
2) The details are not as good as they should be. I'm all about details! Such as the rubber strip across the back. Well it wants to come off if barely touched so find a way to make it stick (adhesive in the groove of it).
3) For me I think it should have been about 6-8' deeper so you don't have the wasted space behind the seats. If it was extended and angled you could still recline plenty and have even more secure space. Move the front security door behind the drivers(or passengers) seat then.
4)There is an open area on the top back for the soft top clips by the tailgate, there should be a metal cover for those two area. If it's just left as an open area someone could stick a tool into to help break into the back.
5)The bolts to secure it to the sides with the plates are very difficult to get to, there has to be a better way.
With all of this being said let me finish by saying this is a sound investment and an excellent upgrade to your jeep. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I'm very glad I got it. I highly recommend the slipstream if you leave your top off or not. It's that little bit of extra security that will give you some peace.
Installation went smooth, had to read the instructions a couple of times to get it right, fits snug and secure, Love this
