Standard holes

Holes were out of alignment on one side needed to be opened up a larger size or an oblique punch would be better possible the last hole only but for production its more realistic to do all of them but overall a great product

We also noticed this with our first production run. We have slightly enlarged, and elongated the holes for a much easier fitment

Great platform, some issues

My wife and I I talked this in her Jeep. Early on we noticed the holes did not quite line up. We spent about 1/2 hr trying different ways of lining up the rack and inserting the bolts. Each ended with at least to being misaligned by about 2mm and not being able to fully seat them. If you can not get them totally screwed in, the rack does not work. I had to slot 4/6 holes with a dremmel in order to get the rack properly placed.
Once we were able to complete seat the bolts I stumbled across a problem of my own making. Screwing the bolts to tight warps the frame holding the sliders thus creating friction for the tray preventing smooth operation. As the tray was delivered with no instructions (not that you really need any) there is no warning of this or any torque specs to guide you. I would recommend loctite if you plan on going off-road as I stated above, if the bolts walk out, opening the tray could become an issue.
As far as the tray, workmanship and materials appear 1st class and I expect it to last a long time with proper maintenance. Pulling the tray out could become an issue as both sides must be released simultaneously and pulling the tray out with a heavy load on it can take some increased force.
I would still buy this again despite the price.

Almost perfect, but not my table!

Very well designed and engineered, perhaps too perfect for a Jeep. My tie down mounts weren't exactly straight, so it made it difficult to get the last bolts started. Not a Diabolical problem, but a problem. This works very well with my SlipStream, it gives me rapid access to my junk in the back without having to flip open the SlipStream.

Very sturdy, slides very well, my HUGE issue was I had to take off my tailgate table (which I use quite often) to install because of the proximity to the rear door. A problem being an early adopter, but something I will figure out how to fix. Maybe even using Diabolical hinge...

We have shortened the tray by 1 inch to allow for more standard tailgate tables. There is currently 2.5 Inches from the Plastic Tailgate cover to the Slide Floor. Most tables require the plastic to be removed, and that's another 1/2 Inch. This would give total distance of 3 inches, which should provide space for most tables.

Great Product!

Such a simple product for the JL, glad to own it. The system arrives in typical Diabolical Inc overpackaging to protect from damage. Once unboxed, it is already assembled, and ready to bolt in. Simple six bolts removed form the floorboards, and simple installation. If you are looking for a Slide, look no further, Diabolical Inc hit this one out of the park.
